Senior Process Technology Engineer - Automation & Digitalization

Responsibilities

Understand the automation & digitalization needs and opportunities within Evonik in the Asia Pacific region; Identification & execution of projects with the focus on general instrumentation, automation & digitalization of Evonik's production plants; Data collection and evaluation, prediction of mathematical models, selection and implementation of optimization concepts and development of meaningful visualizations; Development of process control strategies e.g. Advanced Process Control with multivariable controller's incl. the development of the dynamic model for different production processes; Support development and deployment of globally aligned and harmonized digital solutions; Collaboration within a global network of digitalization experts and initiatives

Requirements

Successfully completed studies (Bachelor/Master/PhD) in the field of process control, automation, data engineering or process technology; Deep knowledge about model based process control and optimization; Experience in data engineering and data visualization; Knowledge about OT infrastructure in production plants including the involved production related systems (e.g. DCS, PIMS, etc.); Previous work experience in the petrochemical/pharmaceutical/specialty chemical industries (5-10 years); Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken; Committed and loyal team member, which represents high self-motivation, flexibility and creativity; Interest in being part of a global working group; Willingness for international business travel
