Senior Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Own full-cycle General Ledger accounting for multiple operating, investment, and real estate entities; Prepare monthly financial statements and support month-end close; Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis; Manage cash reconciliations, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules; Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting; Assist with tax preparation and supporting documentation; Review financial reporting from third-party partners; Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency; Utilize AI tools and automation to streamline recurring accounting tasks; Collaborate with the Controller, CFO, and cross-functional business partners on strategic initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; 3+ years of General Ledger accounting experience; Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables; Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; Strong organizational and communication skills; Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to have

CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification; Family Office, multi-entity, or real estate accounting experience; Tax preparation experience (Partnerships and S-Corporations preferred); Sage ERP or similar accounting system experience; Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT; Passion for process improvement and automation
