Sewing Machine Operator

Syntech Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machine Operator to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing business based in Harwell, Oxfordshire. This position would suit somebody with previous industrial sewing machine experience who enjoys hands-on production work and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products. The role focuses primarily on sewing machine operation and fabric assembly within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently; Carry out sewing and assembly of specialist textile products; Perform overlock stitching and other sewing techniques as required; Follow manufacturing instructions and work orders accurately; Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved; Support production targets and deadlines; Maintain a clean and organised work area; Report any machine faults or quality issues to the production team; Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements

Previous sewing machine operation experience; Good attention to detail and quality standards; Ability to follow work instructions and manufacturing processes; Reliable and able to work independently when required; Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice to have

Experience using industrial sewing machines would be advantageous
