SkillBridge - Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our H145 FAL team based in Columbus, MS. You will be part of the team to perform work as Electrical installer in the build-up and fabrication, repair, replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components to verify proper functioning of components and systems. Airbus is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner (per DoDI 1322.29). This 180-day program allows transitioning service members to leverage their military technical expertise in a high-precision aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

Perform work as Electrical installer in the build-up and fabrication, repair, replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems; Function check of components to verify proper functioning of components and systems; Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation; Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and different standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components; Lay-in route wires in aircraft, tying, lacing and apply appropriate anti-chaff protection; Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and different electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes

Requirements

Minimum six (6) years of aviation electrical experience; Must be able to read, write, and speak English; US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license); Active-duty service member within 180 days of separation; Written Commander (O-4 or above) authorization; Must have current work authorization for U.S. positions; Able to carry and lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs daily; Personal Protective Equipment required

Current A&P license is a plus but not required
