Software Engineer - Dana for Physical AI

Applied Intuition, Inc. is powering the future of physical AI, creating digital infrastructure to bring intelligence to every moving machine. The company services the automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining and agriculture industries in three core areas: tools and infrastructure, operating systems, and autonomy. We are looking for bright engineers interested in designing elegant solutions to difficult problems in the autonomy space. Software engineers work across the suite of products, tackling a variety of full-stack, infrastructure, robotics, and graphics challenges. Engineers are encouraged to take ownership over technical and product decisions, interact closely with users to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture. The company is an in-office company, with full-time employees expected to primarily work from the office 5 days a week, with occasional remote work allowed. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions.

Responsibilities

Work across the entire stack to develop new products, features, and tools for customers' autonomy development workflows; Work with domain experts across infrastructure, robotics, and graphics engineering, as well as startup veterans; Carve out your own area of expertise and influence product decisions; Collaborate with other members in the autonomy ecosystem and learn about different approaches to solving core issues in autonomy

Requirements

BS/MS degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least one year's experience working at an automotive technology company; Basic understanding of UX Fundamentals and design principles; Proven ability as a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical tools; Designed efficient and effective solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges; Desire to take initiative in a fast-paced environment; Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as C / C++, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.; Strong analytical thinking, obsessive attention to detail, and excellent verbal/written communication

Nice to have

Experience working with simulation tools, modeling physical problems, using robotics middleware, designing user-facing applications or developing video games; Experience working with designers and frontend engineers
