Specialist - Project Controls

We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Controls Analyst with 2-5 years of experience to support project planning, cost control, financial management, reporting, and performance monitoring activities across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline, and demonstrate strong analytical, reporting, and data management skills. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in project controls, financial management, earned value management, scheduling, forecasting, change management, and portfolio reporting within a project delivery environment.

Responsibilities

Support project financial management, including budget tracking, forecasting, cost monitoring, and variance analysis; Assist in maintaining project cost reports, dashboards, and financial performance summaries; Support revenue recognition and project profitability monitoring; Assist in tracking purchase orders, subcontract commitments, accruals, and expenditures; Support month-end and year-end financial reporting; Assist with EAC, ETC, and cash flow analysis; Support development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project; Assist in establishing schedule baselines and tracking progress against planned activities; Monitor critical activities and support schedule variance analysis; Assist in developing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project setup; Apply earned value management concepts and methodologies; Collect and analyze progress data from project teams; Assist in calculating and monitoring KPIs such as CPI, SPI, productivity metrics, resource utilization, and budget consumption; Support performance trend analyses and forecasting reports; Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools; Analyze project and portfolio-level performance trends; Consolidate data from multiple projects for portfolio and executive reviews; Support scope management and change control processes; Track changes, variations, and project impacts; Assist in evaluating financial and schedule implications of changes; Review contracts and identify key commercial and project control requirements; Collect and analyze manpower, labor hour, and labor cost data; Support workforce planning, productivity analysis, and resource forecasts; Assist with quantity tracking, progress measurement, and performance reporting; Maintain project controls records and supporting documentation; Support project audits and compliance reviews; Ensure adherence to company procedures, governance requirements, and reporting standards

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; 2-5 years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, Planning & Scheduling, Project Finance, Project Management Office (PMO), Engineering Consultancy, or Construction or Infrastructure Projects; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Working knowledge of Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools; Understanding of project budgeting and forecasting principles; Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project; Understanding of earned value management principles; Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends; Strong reporting and presentation skills
