Sr. Principal Analyst, Product Analytics

Engine by MoneyLion is seeking a Sr. Principal Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as the senior-most individual contributor within the Product Analytics organization. Engine provides the infrastructure that connects consumers with personalized financial products through a network of financial institutions and distribution partners, matching millions of consumers with lending, deposit, credit card and other products via an API-driven marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, business strategy, and analytics leadership — one of the highest-impact individual contributor positions within the organization, helping shape how Engine measures product success, evaluates customer experiences, and makes strategic product investment decisions. Key cross-functional partners: Product, Engineering, Revenue, Operations, and Executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Drive Product and Business Strategy; Lead Product Analytics Across Multiple Domains; Establish Analytics and Experimentation Standards; Influence Product Development Lifecycle; Lead Complex Investigations and Performance Analysis; Act as subject matter expert on Engine's product and data ecosystem

Requirements

6+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, Consulting, or related analytical roles; Demonstrated experience supporting product organizations within fintech, marketplace, SaaS, technology, or data-driven environments; Extensive experience partnering directly with Product Management, Engineering, and senior business stakeholders; Advanced expertise in SQL and working with large-scale data environments; Strong understanding of product analytics, customer journey analysis, funnel optimization, and KPI development; Deep knowledge of experimentation methodologies, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and causal inference; Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and executive audiences; Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations; Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across multiple teams without direct authority

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in a related field; Experience with modern data platforms/tooling (Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Amplitude or similar); Python; R; advanced statistical modeling
