Job Summary

Responsible for managing assigned spend categories through strategic sourcing, supplier performance management,

contract negotiation, and risk mitigation under the direction of the Director, Strategic Sourcing. This role leverages

collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives and continuous improvement. Key objectives

include RFx activities, accurate record keeping, compliance with procurement policies, and timely support for budgeting

and forecasting.

The pay range for this position is

$98,000 - $108,000 USD

Responsibilities

Category management of assigned spend categories by developing and deploying effective category plans.; Manage performance of suppliers for assigned categories.; Develop and implement supply risk management strategies.; Monitor appropriate markets.; Administer and manage RFx process including but not limited to RFx review and analysis, vendor evaluation and; Negotiate price and supply agreements.; Ensure contract compliance with suppliers.; Maintain contracts to be current.; Determine potential value creation initiatives and opportunities. Drive year over year improvement in costs and; Track spend and value creation accurately.; Maintain accurate Item Standard Costs, accounting factors such as freight, tariffs, and surcharges.; Prepare annual Item budget forecast estimates.; Represent Strategic Sourcing on various teams and projects.; Follow procurement policies and procedures. Support improvement of existing work processes with the goal of; Prepare and present annually a Category Overview at the Department Meeting.; Up to 10% travel.; Additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Food Science preferred.; Five plus years’ experience preferably in a dairy, food and beverage (F&B) or manufacturing environment.; Professional Certification in a related field is a plus.; Project management experience or PMP certification is desirable.; Experience in category and supplier management is preferred.; Excellent oral and written skills.; Demonstrated effective public speaking skills.; Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.; Demonstrated ability to work independently.; Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.; Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced procurement tools including SAP, ARIBA, GEP, Determine, etc.; Demonstrated skills in contract negotiations and execution.; Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
