St. Louis Area Water/Wastewater Leader

Olsson offers its clients a full spectrum of water and wastewater services, including a complete line of planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. Maintaining water quality is Olsson’s number one concern, and we are able to respond to a broad set of client demands in a timely and cost-effective manner. As a Water/Wastewater Leader for the St. Louis area, you will be responsible for overseeing all team operations including staff management, financial performance, project quality, and client service. This position establishes goals and objectives for the team, focuses on employee development and mentoring, and oversees client service management. This role presents the opportunity to grow a local team and build a local client base with support from local Olsson presence and nationwide water/wastewater team.

Responsibilities

Overseeing all team operations including staff management, financial performance, project quality, and client service; Establishing and communicating team objectives, developing plans and strategies that align with firmwide goals, and setting high performance expectations for the team; Overseeing and monitoring staffing, utilization, and financial performance for the team; Managing staff and team dynamics, fostering a collaborative work environment and a high-performance culture; Working closely with group leaders to set priorities, manage workloads, and resource allocation; Overseeing client service management, delivering continuous client satisfaction and implementing high client service standards; Holding ultimate responsibility for team’s financial performance, project management activities, and quality of project deliverables; Leading efforts to expand the team’s capabilities and service offerings, identifying opportunities for growth; Driving recruitment efforts to attract top talent and fostering a workplace environment that supports staff retention and professional development; Evaluating team performance, identifying areas of improvement, and making necessary adjustments; Overseeing marketing efforts for repeat clients and coordination with business development on new client pursuits; Responsible for the performance and development of team members and conducting performance management mentoring; Adhering to regulations and enforcing safety standards

Requirements

Working collaboratively with others; Having ownership in the work you do; Using your talents to positively affect communities; Strong communication skills; Ability to contribute and work well on a team; Minimum of ten years of related experience within an applicable field or discipline; At least six years of experience supervising technical personnel; Registered professional engineer; Strong leadership and management skills; Proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations; Successful experience in building and maintaining strong workloads; Ability to attract, develop, and retain talented staff who deliver results; Detailed understanding of how the firm operates as a consulting business; Lateral support to achieve firm goals ahead of team goals
