Sterile Processing Tech - FT40 PMs

This is full time PM shift 3p-11:30p Sterile Processing Technician position with rotation weekends, on call and holidays.

Responsibilities

Decontamination of instruments and equipment; Assembly/packaging/wrapping of surgical instrumentation; Validation of sterilization equipment; Performance of sterilization; Inventory/storage/distribution functions; Low temperature Sterrad sterilization; Demonstration of leadership behaviors; Implementation of quality improvement ideas; Communication skills to support team outcomes; Maintenance of effective functions in the department

Requirements

High school diploma; 1 yr SPD experience; Ability to communicate and follow directions; Computer skills; Experienced in operating sterilization equipment; Certified Central Service Tech within 90 days of hire; Exposure to blood/body fluids; Heavy lifting 30 to 35 lbs; Hepatitis vaccination at hire; Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations; Strength/dexterity to handle surgical instruments/equipment; Ability to access all areas of the department; Rotation to all shifts to accommodate scheduling needs
