Sterile Processing Technician - PT.5 PMs

PM Certified Experienced Sterile Processing Technician. Part time, 20 hours per week, benefits eligible.

Responsibilities

Decontamination of instruments and equipment; Performance of assembly/packaging/wrapping; Validation of sterilization equipment; Performance of sterilization; Performance of inventory/storage/distribution functions; Performance of low temperature (Sterrad) sterilization; Demonstration of leadership behaviors; Implementation of quality improvement ideas to enhance operation and team function; Communication to support team outcomes; Maintenance of effective functions in the department

Requirements

High school diploma; 1 yr. SPD experience; PM Certified Experienced Sterile Processing Technician; Certified Central Service Tech within 90 days of hire; Experienced in operating sterilization equipment; Computer skills; Ability to communicate and follow directions; Exposure to blood/body fluids; Heavy lifting 30 to 35 lbs; Hepatitis vacc. at hire; Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations; Strength/dexterity to handle surgical instruments/equipment; Ability to access all areas of the department; Rotation to all shifts to accommodate the department's scheduling needs; Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
