Store Manager in Training

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.

Responsibilities

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store; Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members; Work with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members; Train new team members and handle performance evaluations; Assist in hiring process; Ensure safety compliance and team member training; Make sales calls; Maintain delivery fleet and records; Ensure store is neat, clean and organized; Learn electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll; Learn to manage gross profit; Review team member productivity and KPI dashboard; Review monthly P&L statement with store manager

Requirements

High School Diploma; Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program; Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately; Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Nice to have

O'Reilly store and/or distribution center experience; Completed O'Reilly management training program; Advanced computer skills; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
