Stores Person

We’re looking for an experienced Stores-Person to play a vital role in supporting our teams working on the CityFibre contract. Responsibilities

Creating purchase orders and managing goods inwards/outwards using company systems; Receiving and checking deliveries for accuracy, quantity, and damage; Operating forklifts where required to move and organise stock; Maintaining accurate stock levels and updating systems in real time; Storing materials efficiently and preparing items for collection and job allocation; Carrying out regular stock checks and audits; Keeping the stores environment clean, safe, and well organised; Using in-house IT systems to manage stock and logistics; Supporting with additional duties as required

Requirements

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar stores, yard, or logistics role (or equivalent); A solid understanding of health and safety best practices; Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year; Comfortable using computers and stock management systems; Methodical, organised, and able to work independently; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent organisational ability with keen attention to detail; Able to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload; Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team; Able to meet targets in a busy, fast-changing environment; Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
