Team Leader - Body Shop

As Team Leader in the Body Shop at BMW Group Plant Debrecen, you play a key role in ensuring that components from the press shop come together to form a complete, high-quality car body by the end of the production line. In this role, you’re responsible for a specific area of production and for guiding your team toward that goal. Work environment includes a highly automated production line with numerous robot cells, where the main processes involve joining car body components using welding and bonding technologies.

Responsibilities

Guide a production team of 6–9 members; Support team in executing body shop tasks and step in when necessary; Ensure training and mentoring of team members; Ensure production is carried out properly and meets quality standards; Achieve set targets; Ensure continuous and smooth operation of production; Resolve emerging issues and obstacles in collaboration with team; Plan shift staffing with necessary number of employees; Initiate and oversee implementation of process improvements

Requirements

At least a secondary school diploma; Several years of professional experience in manufacturing or production as a machine operator or quality management team leader; Native-level Hungarian; Familiarity with process and quality optimization tools; Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team, with a strong commitment to continuous self-development; Excellent communication skills; Confidence and responsibility in shift scheduling, ensuring availability, and training and developing team members; Willingness to work in two rotating shifts (06:00 - 15:00, 15:00 – 24:00)

Nice to have

Technical degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical, or other related field of study
