Technical Engineer

The Retail Payments team is a key part in our Retail Checkout Area. Our mission is to deliver secure, modular payment solutions that balance cost efficiency with competitive time-to-market delivery. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Technical Engineer within Retail Payments, you will play a key role in driving payment initiatives across H&M's global retail landscape. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies, improve processes, and ensure successful delivery across markets, vendors, and internal teams. You are a structured and proactive person who enjoys creating clarity, driving accountability, and turning decisions into action.

Responsibilities

Drive payment initiatives from idea to implementation across markets, vendors and internal teams.; Coordinate stakeholders, risks, dependencies and delivery plans to ensure successful execution.; Support the implementation and rollout of payment solutions across H&M's global retail landscape.; Establish and improve ways of working, governance processes and operational routines within Retail Payments.; Facilitate decision-making through clear communication, structure and status reporting.; Challenge stakeholders and vendors when commitments, timelines or quality expectations are at risk.

Requirements

Proven experience in project coordination, delivery management or systems integration.; Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multiple teams and external partners.; Understanding of payment systems, POS environments and technical integrations.; Comfortable driving accountability, following up on commitments and pushing initiatives forward.; Structured, organized and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.; Strong communicator, capable of engaging both technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
