Technician, Operator IV

Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

Safe and efficient operation of plant equipment in area of training; Compliance with all Evonik, state and federal regulations at all times; Develop understanding of plant procedures, processes, and equipment in area of training; Develop ability to identify issues with process equipment and process parameters in area of training; Maintain accurate training documentation with instructor as new processes and procedures are learned; Resolve issues with processes and equipment with support from more senior operation technicians; Support maintenance department as needed to repair equipment and ensure reliable operation of plant assets; Communicate Process and controls issues with area engineers and assist with data acquisition; Assist technicians that are more senior and develop hands on knowledge of operating procedures and equipment; Support basic safety process including maintaining compliance with any required training

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Good time management skills; Mechanical aptitude; Safety oriented; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, from day and night
