Trauma Surgery - Full-Time NP/PA

Atrium Health Floyd/Harbin is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Trauma & Emergency General Surgery team in beautiful Rome, Georgia. This is a full-time role with a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, providing inpatient trauma and emergency general surgery coverage.

Responsibilities

Respond to Level I & Level II trauma activations; Round daily with the surgical team; Manage inpatient trauma and emergency general surgery patients; Complete consults, admissions, and progress notes; Perform bedside procedures including chest tubes, FAST exams, additional trauma-related procedures; Participate in weekly trauma clinic coverage; Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; Physician Assistants strongly encouraged to apply; New grads with strong surgical/trauma rotations welcome; Nurse Practitioners with inpatient surgical or trauma-focused training encouraged
