Ultrasound Technologist - Non ARDMS

The Ultrasound Technologist – Non-ARDMS supports a variety of diagnostic imaging needs, including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and limited vascular studies under the supervision of a registered technologist or physician. This role is ideal for graduates of a formal sonography program, registry-eligible candidates, or individuals with hands-on clinical experience who are actively pursuing certification.

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound examinations including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and limited vascular studies under the supervision of a registered technologist or physician; Follow established protocols and guidance from supervising staff; Ensure proper patient identification, image labeling, exam documentation, and adherence to departmental protocols; Provide compassionate patient care; Collaborate effectively with technologists, radiologists, physicians, and support staff

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of a formal Ultrasound or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program; 6 months to 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred; Registry-eligible with ARDMS or equivalent organization preferred; ARDMS certification not required at hire but strongly encouraged; Current BLS/CPR certification; State licensure or credentialing where required; Familiarity with ultrasound equipment and standard scanning protocols; Ability to learn and utilize PACS, RIS, and EMR systems; Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

6 months to 1 year of ultrasound experience; Registry-eligible with ARDMS or equivalent organization; ARDMS certification
