Responsibilities

Adheres to Children’s Wisconsin and Urgent Care policies, procedures, and standards; Maintains HIPAA compliance; Provides exceptional care to patients and families; Regularly performs RN duties and maintains patient care competencies; Notifies provider of any patient needing immediate assistance; Administers medications; Performs point of care testing; Collects and labels specimens; Performs procedures; Documents accurately in chart; Assists with narcotic counts; Stocks supplies; May delegate clinical tasks; Performs clinical assessments within scope of practice, including triage; Effectively prioritizes and categorizes patients based on needs and acuity

Requirements

A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin; Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross; Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Ability to travel to all Urgent Care locations; Ability to work daytime, evenings, weekend, and holiday hours; Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Analytical skills to assess complex patient conditions; Ability to work with a diverse patient population

Nice to have

Electronic Health Record proficiency preferred; Two years experience in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred; Experience with pediatric patients preferred
