Warehouse Operative SAT & SUN (9.30-18.00)

As a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while delivering high standards of accuracy and productivity. This is a fast-paced dynamic warehouse environment and involves physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 20kg) and standing / walking for extended periods of time (up to 7.5 hours depending on shift).

Responsibilities

Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity; Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures; Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required); Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records; Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations; Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently; Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets; Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management; Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety

Requirements

Ability to work physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods; Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team; Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing; Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required; Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential
