Web Designer

As a Web Designer at Wonderist, you’ll lead with design thinking and produce high-quality, user-centered web experiences for small business clients—primarily in the dental and healthcare space. You’ll bring creative strategy, brand understanding, and excellent visual execution to every project, while collaborating cross-functionally with development, content, and marketing teams. You’ll serve as both a creative contributor and strategic thinker, helping push the team and our work forward.

Responsibilities

Lead with design thinking and produce high-quality, user-centered web experiences for small business clients; Create compelling, polished, and responsive web designs; Create polished, high-fidelity web design mockups that prioritize accessibility and user-friendliness; Translate brand identity and business goals into responsive web designs; Present and advocate for strategic design decisions with clients; Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design integrity and usability; Proactively identify opportunities to improve internal systems and workflows; Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives to standardize internal design practices and tools

Requirements

3+ years of professional design experience, with a focus on web design and direct client collaboration; A strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design and a deep understanding of core design principles; Expert-level proficiency in Figma; Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently articulate design decisions to clients and internal teams; Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while working independently; A collaborative team player with a proactive and strategic mindset; Familiarity with project management tools and workflows

Nice to have

Familiarity with animation tools (e.g., After Effects, Lottie, or similar); Experience with Webflow; Strong cross-disciplinary skillset (e.g., branding, illustration, motion design, print); Knowledge of the dental or healthcare industry; Experience working with small businesses or in a fast-paced agency environment
