Wright Bar Bartender (Full-Time) - Arizona Biltmore

Wright Bar is the Biltmore’s famous (and infamous) lobby bar embodying the renegade spirit of Hollywood’s Golden Age featuring craft cocktails and a light bar menu to include our signature Tequila Sunrise - the legendary cocktail that was invented here in the 1930’s! As a Bartender, you would be responsible for making and serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Making and serving beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner; Preparing beverages for other servers to supply to guests; Maintaining significant menu knowledge of both the beverage and food menus; Greeting guests in a courteous and friendly manner; Mixing, garnishing and presenting drinks using standard ingredient recipes and prudent portion control; Checking guests for proper identification; Inputting orders into a register at the point of sale; Receiving cash from guests, making change, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed; Maintaining proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis; Maintaining stock, cutting, and storing fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables; Detecting and acting upon guest inebriation; Maintaining and demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws; Locking up and storing all beverage, food and other items, depositing cash drops and securing bank; Attending mandatory meetings; Performing general cleaning tasks; Keeping work area clean and organized; Completing other duties as assigned; Adhering to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations

Requirements

At least two (2) years of Bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant; Maricopa County Food Handler Card; TIPS Certified; Team player; Very organized; Great at multitasking; Excellent customer service skills; Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice to have

Experience in an upscale / luxury dining environment; Hotel / resort experience; Experience with POS systems - Micros or Agilysis; Title IV Certification; ServSafe Certified; CPR / First Aid Certified
