X-Ray Technologist

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams with correct technique and positioning; Evaluate own images for technical quality and produce diagnostic-grade results; Know anatomy, protocols, and equipment; Apply ALARA radiation safety principles; Maintain clean, complete, real-time documentation; Manage own workflow, keep room ready, and troubleshoot equipment issues; Adapt to a high-volume schedule and prioritize tasks under minimal supervision; Provide patient care with proper positioning, clear explanation of procedures, and infection control standards; Model best practices and provide hands-on guidance to students rotating through

Requirements

ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required; Valid state licensure current (where required); BLS certification current or in progress; Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program; Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems; Working knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety principles; Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates; Ability to manage workflow with minimal supervision; Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Nice to have

1–2 years of X-ray experience; Outpatient or ambulatory care experience
