Mobile Engineer E2 - (React Native)

BitGo is looking for a Mobile Engineer E2 with a strong background in React Native to join our team and help us build cross-platform mobile applications that enhance the BitGo experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Design and build advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms using React Native; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features; Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs; Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications; Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency; Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement; Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and refine product requirements; Provide mentorship to peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices

Requirements

4+ years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native; Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies, including ES6 and TypeScript; Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java; Solid understanding of React and React Native architecture, navigation, state management, native modules, and OTA releases; Experience with secure storage, authentication, encryption, certificate and network security, biometrics, and secure handling of sensitive data; Strong understanding of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles; Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, along with a strong understanding of RESTful API design; Strong understanding of unit and functional testing, with proven debugging skills; Experience with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, and related development practices; Experience building observability and monitoring capabilities, including crash reporting, analytics, profiling, and memory, battery, and network optimization; Familiarity with App Store and Google Play deployment, release management, crash monitoring, and production debugging; Ability to support working hours aligned with EST/PST time zones, as required

Nice to have

Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android); Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry; Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, accounting systems, etc
