Staff Product Manager

Bobyard uses computer vision and NLP to automate construction takeoffs and estimates, helping contractors bid faster and win more. The Staff Product Manager is a senior IC role with company-level scope: defining product direction over the next 2–3 years, making hard tradeoffs, and raising the bar for how product is built. The role is distinct from a bigger Senior title, owning direction across product areas and defining how the whole org specs, prioritizes, and runs discovery. Full-time, in person at the San Francisco office (101 2nd Street), 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

Set the multi-year vision for takeoff and adjacent pre-construction workflows, turned into a roadmap with named tradeoffs; Take new products from thesis to first prototype to repeatable revenue; Make decisions with ML and engineering on where models automate and where humans stay in the loop; Align engineering, design, sales, marketing, and CS on positioning, pricing, and launches; Own the product practice: how product is specced, prioritized, and discovered, and how PMs are mentored and evaluated; Own company-level outcomes: adoption, revenue impact, and product quality across the platform

Requirements

7+ years in product management, owning strategy for a product or product line with company-level scope; Shipped at least one 0→1 product to repeatable revenue, with quantifiable traction; Built AI/ML-driven products or B2B software for complex workflows; Strong judgment under ambiguity, with reasoning that can be explained and defended when data is incomplete; Mentored PMs and helped build a product practice (required); Pricing and packaging judgment, or a track record of learning it fast on a real product

Nice to have

Construction or pre-construction experience; Experience scaling a product org's process as headcount and product surface grew
