Accountant

Current is partnering with a fast-growing, nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm serving veterinary hospitals across the U.S. The firm offers a modern, fully remote environment built around trust, flexibility, collaboration, and meaningful client impact. We’re looking for an Accountant to manage a portfolio of veterinary practice clients through bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, onboarding, and ongoing client communication.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of 10+ full-service bookkeeping clients; Perform QuickBooks Online bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations; Prepare and finalize monthly financial reporting packages; Support month-end close and resolve outstanding accounting items; Assist with new client onboarding, QBO setup, and bookkeeping cleanup; Serve as a responsive, trusted point of contact for clients; Participate in quarterly client conversations; Manage deadlines and deliverables through workflow systems; Collaborate with leadership and team members to improve the client experience

Requirements

2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or outsourced accounting experience; Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency; Experience with reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close; Excellent organization and time-management skills; Strong written and verbal communication; Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment; Strong attention to detail and client-service mindset
