Accountant

Responsibilities

Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including revenue recognition, cash receipts, accruals, prepaid expense amortization, and account reclassifications; Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger balance sheet accounts; Assist in preparation of audit and tax workpapers; Develop and maintain supporting schedules for month-end financial results; Analyze and explain variances in revenue and expenses; Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements for assigned entities; Prepare accounting adjustments for supplier invoices in Workday; Partner with operational leaders to resolve requisition and purchase order issues; Manage third party agreements, billing, and cash application processes; Utilize software tools to compile, analyze, and present financial data; Act as a financial resource for assigned entities; Assist in development of annual budget; Complete special projects

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Major in Accounting or Finance required, will consider candidates with commensurate accounting experience; 2+ years accounting related experience with demonstrated knowledge of EXCEL applications in a Windows environment and computerized financial reports; Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); Analytical ability to resolve problems and recommend solutions for areas of responsibility; Excellent organizational skills to independently prioritize workload and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
