Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role works closely with local and international stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting.; Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accounting records in accordance with local GAAP and company policies.; Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.; Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate accounting discrepancies.; Assist with statutory reporting, VAT returns, tax-related filings, and external audits.; Ensure compliance with Czech accounting regulations and internal controls.; Support cash management and treasury activities as required.; Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and other internal stakeholders.; Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support accounting system enhancements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.; 3+ years of experience in Accounting, General Ledger, or Financial Reporting.; Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.; Knowledge of Czech accounting standards, IFRS experience is an advantage.; Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar.; Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.; Fluent Czech and good working proficiency in English.; Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
