Accountant, Sales Tax

The purpose of this job is to prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.

We are seeking applicants with a local presence in Knoxville, TN or the surrounding communities.

Specialized Knowledge

- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Basic accounting experience preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

Responsibilities

File state and local sales tax returns; Generate supporting reports; Provide internal customer service related to W-9 and exemption certificate completion as well as contract and invoice review; Assist with sales tax audit; Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose, ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level; Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Minimum one year sales and use tax return preparation experience preferred; Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills; Strong attention to detail; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to set priorities, multitask, meet deadlines, and resolve problems with a high sense of urgency
