Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities

Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and accrual estimates on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to maintain accurate financial records; Reconcile asset and liability general ledger accounts, analyze revenue, and expense general ledger accounts monthly; Resolve discrepancies and provide analysis to ensure accurate reporting and assist business decisions; Processes the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and ensure timely and accurate financial statements; Understand revenue flow and related accounting processes to help reconcile systems; Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards; Assist with the year-end audit by preparing necessary documents and coordinating with external auditors; Serve as backup for the AP/AR team to ensure seamless coverage is in place; Document key accounting procedures for training new employees; Participate in various ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience withing financial services; Experience focusing on monthly close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting; Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards; Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
