Accounts Senior

Advance your UK accounting career from SA with Streets as Accounts Senior. Lead diverse client work, prepare accounts and taxes, in a collaborative, remote role with growth. We're looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join our remote South African team. Working closely with UK Managers and Partners, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, prepare statutory accounts and tax returns, and deliver a high standard of service across a broad range of industries.

Responsibilities

Prepare year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders and charities; Prepare corporation tax computations and company tax returns; Prepare personal tax returns and VAT returns; Assist with bookkeeping and management accounts where required; Manage client queries and build strong client relationships; Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with UK accounting standards; Support Managers, Partners and junior team members where required

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience within an accounting practice; Experience preparing year-end accounts and tax returns; Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge; Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar accounting software; Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; Strong attention to detail and organisational skills; Excellent written and verbal English communication; Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to have

Experience working with UK clients or UK accounting standards; Experience using IRIS, CCH or other UK practice software; ACA, ACCA, AAT, SAICA or SAIPA qualified, part-qualified, or studying towards a professional qualification
