The Group

The Integrated Voltage Regulators (IVR) Group at ADI is exponentially expanding its activities and engagements, growing its power solutions for modern data center.

As data center workloads increasingly demand more power and speed, existing power delivery architectures are no longer viable. The Team

The Integrated Voltage Regulators Design Team has the mission to expand the ADI products portfolio with high-performance Power Management ICs by designing best-in-class, scalable, efficient, compact and ultra-fast fully-integrated voltage regulators, custom passives and advanced System-in-Packages. As part of the team, the successful candidate will contribute to laboratory automation solutions used for the characterization, validation and evaluation of next-generation Power Management IC prototypes.

The scope of the job includes some or all these activities

- Develop software and automation frameworks for an electronic laboratory dedicated to Power Management IC prototype evaluation
- Interface and control laboratory instruments including oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power supplies, source-measure units, digital multimeters and data acquisition systems
- Develop automated measurement procedures for electrical characterization, validation and performance testing
- Create reusable Python tools for automated test execution, instrument configuration and measurement sequencing
- Implement automated data collection, processing, visualization and report generation
- Develop user-friendly graphical interfaces for test execution and result visualization
- Support the setup, bring-up and debugging of evaluation boards and laboratory test environments
- Improve the efficiency, repeatability and traceability of laboratory measurements
- Analyze measurement data and support engineers in identifying performance trends and anomalies
- Develop structured solutions for storing and managing characterization data and measurement results
- Document software solutions, measurement methodologies and laboratory processes
- Clearly communicate project status and progress to local team members and management

Requirements

Currently pursuing an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline; Strong programming skills in Python; Basic knowledge of analogue and digital electronics and laboratory measurement techniques; Familiarity with electronic laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads and digital multimeters; Good understanding of software development principles and structured code organization; Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools; Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team

Nice to have

Experience with instrument automation using different interfaces; Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, PyQt, Tkinter or similar frameworks; Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows; Experience with databases and basic firmware development/debug; Experience with basic PCB bring-up or hardware debugging: SMD soldering, etc.
