Android Developer

Responsibilities

Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform; Work with outside data sources and APIs; Work on bug fixing and improving application performance; Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency; Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Requirements

B.Sc./B.Tech degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience; 3-5 years of Experience in designing and developing Android Apps, which also have Multi-media, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFI, SQLite, Material Design, Web Services; Programming experience in Java, Dalvik, ART, javascript, webview, fragments; Excellent skills and knowledge in Android Component (Activity, Services, Content Provider, Broadcast Receiver, Fragment); Excellent knowledge in core Java

Nice to have

Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the entire software development life cycle; Hands on experience with Android studio & gradle build system; Proficiency in Android SDK/NDK framework; Strong knowledge of different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes; Experience in building JNI libraries; Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git; Experience with 3rd party frameworks and SDKs; Solid understanding of user interaction concept differences between Android phone and Tablets; Knowledge of web services, REST APIs; Solid understanding of Android user interface guidelines and the latest operating systems, features and APIs; Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability; Good design skills using Object oriented design patterns; Knowledge of the Analytics tools And GCM/FCM; Prior experience of publishing Apps in Playstore; Experience on Media Stream Applications; Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning; Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines; Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers; Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
