Aprio PH - Associate, Property Tax

Join Aprio PH Specialty Tax team and you will help support clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio has a career opportunity for an Associate, Property Tax to join their dynamic group. Entry-level role supporting property tax compliance. Assists with preparing and filing business personal property returns, tracking tax bills/assessment notices, maintaining compliance calendars, and validating fixed-asset data. Success in this role requires strong organization, accuracy, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file business personal property tax returns with guidance from senior staff, compile and organize supporting documentation; Review fixed-asset listings/schedules to identify taxable property, track additions, disposals, and transfers, reconcile asset data; Log, track, and review property tax bills and assessment notices, follow up on missing notices, validate assessed values, exemptions, and rates; Maintain due date/compliance calendar, flag upcoming deadlines, track filings and payments to help avoid penalties and interest; Support correspondence with taxing authorities, maintain organized electronic files, assist with ad hoc research and special projects

Requirements

Strong organization, accuracy, and willingness to learn; 2 years in property tax, accounting, or a related role; Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy; Highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines; Microsoft Office proficiency (intermediate Excel); Clear written and verbal communication; Works well independently and with a team, proactive learner; Amenable to work night shift starting from 8:00 PM-5:00 AM PHT; Shifting schedule (depending on business/client needs)

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field; Fixed-asset software and/or tax management system exposure
