Aprio PH - Learning and Development Senior Specialist, Tax Training

Aprio's L&D Senior Specialist, Tax Training is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that enhance the professional growth and expertise of the firm's tax professionals. This role focuses on facilitating engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually, that align with the firm's strategic goals and industry standards. The L&D Senior Specialist, Tax Training collaborates closely with subject matter experts and tax partners to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and effectively meets the learning needs of Aprio's tax team.

Responsibilities

Delivering high-quality training programs that enhance the professional growth and expertise of the firm's tax professionals; Facilitating engaging training sessions, both in-person and virtually; Designing, delivering, and continuously enhancing technical tax training programs for Philippine-based tax professionals supporting U.S. clients; Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the effectiveness and impact of training programs using the Kirkpatrick Model and ROI Institute methodologies; Conducting qualitative and quantitative learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and recommend improvement strategies; Partnering with U.S. and Philippine tax leaders, subject matter experts, and Learning & Development colleagues to assess evolving business, process, and skill needs; Managing the end-to-end tax learning curriculum for Philippine-based professionals; Facilitating instructor-led and virtual sessions on technical U.S. Tax topics; Managing multiple training projects simultaneously; Collaborating with U.S. tax leaders, offshore operations teams, National Tax Office (NTO) and L&D partners to identify training needs; Leveraging learning technologies and productivity tools (LCvista, MS Office Suite, Kahoot, Canva) to design and deliver training; Overseeing the effective use and administration of LCvista and other LMS to track training participation, CPE compliance, and learner progress; Maintaining and updating L&D and Tax Training SharePoint pages; Applying data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI) to evaluate learning effectiveness and provide actionable insights

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Education, Psychology, Communications, Commerce, Finance, Human Resources or Taxation; 2-3 years of experience coordinating in-person, virtual, and hybrid event management logistics; 2-3 years proven experience applying instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning principles to design, develop, and deliver effective technical training programs; 2-3 years demonstrated ability to evaluate training effectiveness using learning analytics, feedback, and performance metrics, with a track record of implementing improvements based on data-driven insights; 2-3 years strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and build relationships across global teams; 2-3 years proficiency in leveraging learning technologies and tools (e.g., LMS, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Articulate 360, Power BI, and virtual facilitation platforms such as Teams or Zoom); Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – PH/US; Enrolled Agent (EA – US IRS Credential)

Nice to have

Master's Degree in Taxation, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or Business Administration (MBA); 2-3 years of experience using training software and tracking learning content in a learning management system (LMS), preferably LCvista; 2-3 years of experience in a client service or teaching role with a keen interest in transitioning into the training domain; Instructional Design (ID); Digital Learning & Instructional Design Certificate: Digital Learning Institute (DLI); CLDP / CPLP / CPTD – Certified Professional in Talent Development: Association for Talent Development (ATD) / CLDP; Instructional Design or eLearning Certification: ATD, USA or any Training Industry; NASBA CPE Sponsor familiarity or certification in CPE program management: NASBA, AICPA, Professional Education Services (PES), The Consultants Training Institute (CTI) or any authorized training providers; Training and Facilitation Certificate (TFC): Association for Talent Development; Certified Learning Facilitator (CLF): International Institute for Facilitation; Corporate Trainer Certification (CTC): Management and Strategy Institute
