APRN - Inpatient - Adult Kidney Transplant - FT - Days - MRH

Functions as a health care provider in an inpatient setting providing evidence based care, including but not limited to, diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care under the general supervision of a physician. Competencies: Accountability, Customer Service, Develop and Implement Plan of Care, Patient and Family Centered Care, Patient Safety - Nursing, Problem Solving, Responding to Change, Standards of Behavior. Working conditions include bending, lifting, prolonged standing and walking, exposure to biological hazards, and computer keyboard use. Shift: Days. Employment is subject to post offer, pre-placement assessment, including drug testing.

Responsibilities

Functions as a health care provider in an inpatient setting providing evidence based care, including diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care under the general supervision of a physician; Obtains complete medical history from patients and performs comprehensive and focused physical examinations; Executes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated; Instructs and counsels patients with respect to health promotion and/or health maintenance; Practices within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative healthcare management; Maintains complete and accurate records of contacts with patients whether in person, virtually or by telephone; Organizes and presents historical and physical data on daily rounds, together with evaluations and recommendations, to the healthcare team; Provides follow-up and health maintenance care to patients based upon accepted standards of care and best practice

Requirements

Masters: Nurse Practitioner (Required); Advanced Practicing Registered Nurse (APRN) - State of Florida (FL); BLS certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or accepted equivalent); National NP certification required for Pediatrics/Adult area of practice; Credentialing and privileging required; Must have 7 years of APP experience in particular area of expertise or meet certification requirements; ATLS required for trauma roles; ACLS or PALS may be required depending on area of practice; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
