Assistant Accountant / Graduate

Responsibilities

Prepare bank reconciliations for all Australian bank accounts and month-end balance sheet reconciliations; Prepare and post routine and month-end journal entries to keep the General Ledger accurate and up to date; Assist with General Ledger account analysis during month-end close; Process supplier bills and review entries in the accounts payable ledger; Process and review company card transactions, including reconciliations in the accounting software; Assist with transaction uploads and updates across the finance systems; Support month-end and year-end close, including audit activities and ad hoc finance team priorities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a Business degree with an accounting major; Strong understanding of accounting concepts, with excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and a focus on accuracy; Strong Excel and accounting software skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to work effectively as part of a team and under deadlines

Nice to have

NetSuite; Xero; Previous accounting experience through an internship or similar role; Exposure to a multi-entity or group finance environment
