Assistant Manager/ Manager

Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is the internal solution partner for METRO, an international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. MGSC provides HR, Finance, IT, Strategy, Branding and Business operations support to 31 countries from locations in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). The role involves leading FPNA (Controlling) end-to-end processes, leading large FPA teams, driving financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting, and driving organizational change and process transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead teams in forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, monitoring (value creation plans), reporting and analysis; Present financial performance updates at relevant meetings and report on key performance metrics; Ensure key performance reporting is accessible, user focused and action oriented; Ensure compliance with corporate governance (Capex approval, budget etc.) and identify and escalate risks; Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes and oversee financial reporting in compliance with regulatory guidelines and IFRS; Forecast and report Free Cash Flow and propose corrective actions; Deliver value to countries through business case realization and improved customer experience (NPS); Manage multiple related projects aligned to strategic objectives; Develop and deliver proposals for new process transitions and presentations to GBS leadership, sponsors, CFOs and key stakeholders; Understand interdependencies between margin, stock and profitability in a wholesale environment and improve information integrity for decision making; Develop new ideas and define development tasks to improve data integrity reports and solutions; Drive culture and mindset change within teams; Be part of the leadership team in driving organization strategy and transformation; Lead a team of 7+ and manage full team performance

Requirements

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management; Set-up, Review & Baseline Business & Operational KPIs; 10+ years of experience in driving organizational change management and process transformation including digital; Experience in coaching and mentoring leadership teams; Experience in supporting large strategic impact projects; Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management; Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and escalate/resolve issues appropriately; Executive presence, storytelling, leadership skills, C-level communication; Conflict management, stakeholder management, change management, project management, team management; AGILE ways of working; Lead a team of 7+ and manage the full performance of the team; SAP, MicroStrategy, Tagetik, Looker, Power BI and other forecasting, budgeting and reporting tools; MS Office Suite/Teams; Experience in leading teams in forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, monitoring, reporting and analysis; Managing financial forecasting and budgeting processes and overseeing financial reporting in compliance with regulatory guidelines and IFRS; Forecast and reporting of Free Cash Flow; Qualified Accountant (CA) or master's degree in business administration or finance (reputed institute); 10+ years of experience in leading FPNA (Controlling) end-to-end processes; Experience in people leadership and leading large teams with FPA processes (current 15+ FTEs); Experience in driving FPA process transformation including process improvements, standardization, best practices and benchmarking

Nice to have

Background in Lean Six Sigma; IFRS certification; Exposure to IT industry / running IT projects (automation / ERP implementation); Experience in budgeting and forecasting tools (SAP BW/FI/CO, Tagetik, MicroStrategy Datawarehouse, BigQuery); Experience working with large datasets and SQL; Strong financial modeling expertise; Preference for candidates with consumer goods industry experience; Proactive and solution-oriented attitude; Strategic thinking and efficient analytical skills; Open to travel
