Assistant Manager

As Assistant General Manager, you'll support the overall commercial and operational performance of the club, helping to create a best-in-class experience for members while delivering key business objectives. You'll be responsible for driving results, maintaining high operational standards and developing a motivated team that consistently delivers outstanding service.

Responsibilities

Support the overall commercial and operational performance of the club; Support the General Manager to deliver exceptional results across sales, member experience, operations and team performance; Coach, motivate and develop colleagues to achieve their full potential; Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of top talent; Deliver regular performance conversations and feedback; Drive sales performance through effective member engagement and conversion; Monitor and improve club KPIs and business performance metrics; Create an exceptional experience for every member; Resolve member queries and concerns; Support the day-to-day running of the club; Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; Support Health & Safety compliance, risk management and pool plant operations where applicable

Requirements

Previous leadership experience within fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail; Strong track record of leading teams and delivering business results; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Commercial awareness with the ability to influence performance; Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences; Flexible approach to working patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

Nice to have

Level 2 Fitness Qualification; Experience working within a gym, health club or leisure environment; Knowledge of membership sales, retention and fitness operations; Pool plant and Health & Safety experience
