Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom including team member execution on customer service programs; Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak retail business hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training; Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure online/ship-to-store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure customer returns/exchanges processed efficiently, refunds accurate, returned merchandise staged; Ensure merchandise invoiced before product leaves store; Ensure Zipline messages communicated and Image Maker/merchandising tasks completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies and schedules; Perform store opening/closing duties including day end procedures, deposits, security, and building locks; Assist store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, computer hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
