Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on retail showroom including execution of customer service programs; Work with store manager to ensure retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours; Assist store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training; Assist in hiring process by recruiting, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub/store transfers, and DC add orders processed timely and customers contacted; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail returns/exchanges processed efficiently and refunds accurately; Ensure merchandise, core charges, warranties invoiced before leaving store; Ensure Zipline messages communicated and Image Maker/merchandising tasks completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies, work schedules, clock in/out; Perform store opening/closing duties including day end procedures, securing money/deposits, bank deposits, security alarms, locking building/vehicle; Assist store manager in maintaining building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, service/test equipment, delivery vehicles

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
