Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom; Work with store manager to ensure retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours; Assist store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training is current; Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub/store transfers, and DC add orders processed timely; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure customer returns and exchanges processed efficiently and refunds issued accurately; Ensure merchandise including core charges and warranties invoiced before leaving store; Ensure Zipline messages communicated and Image Maker/merchandising tasks delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies and work schedules; Perform all store opening/closing duties including deposits, security, and locking building; Assist store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and delivery vehicles

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
