Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs; Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring and ensuring training is current; Assist in the hiring process, including recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Make sure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon arrival as needed; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds are issued accurately, and returned merchandise is processed or staged correctly; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies, including the posted work schedule and clocking in/out; Perform store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, money verification and deposits, security, and alarms; Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
