AECOM Hunt is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to be based in Chicago, IL working on our ORD 21 Program project .

Responsibilities

Assists the project Superintendent and Project Manager by performing a variety of tasks in support of construction activities. Duties may differ depending on the specialty area.; Receives continual supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.; Under guidance of the Superintendent, monitors work performance of subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedules are followed.; Assists with the planning and coordination of sub-contractor activities within the area of responsibility.; Monitor’s subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence with project plans and promotes quality control of all installations.; Reviews manpower, material, equipment requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.; Assist with the review of daily reports.; Enforces the AECOM Hunt safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.; Ensures safety standards and requirements are adhered to by crafts/trades, laborers, and others within the jobsite, as well as ensure tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.; Prepares reports, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.; Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Lead Superintendent and assigned Project Manager in a coordinated effort.

Requirements

Candidate must have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, an Engineering discipline or Business Management or similar major or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice to have

Experience working for a large general contractor.; Previous AECOM internship experience.; Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).; As well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
