Audit Manager, Affordable Housing

Responsibilities

Conduct multiple audit engagements within firm standards; Effectively communicate with partners, staff and clients regarding expectations, workflow, status of engagements and other matters; Initiating an active role in marketing firm services and producing new business; Continuously fostering relationships with coworkers and clients; Traveling up to 15-20% of the time

Requirements

Developed specialties in Affordable Housing or Not-for-profits and Real Estate; 4-year bachelor’s degree in accounting; Licensed CPA; 4+ years of experience working for a public accounting firm; Energetically managing, coaching, and developing staff and senior accountants; Maintain and grow technical skills; Effective written and verbal communication skills with clients and co-workers; Demonstrated initiative and willingness to lead, make decisions, and work independently

Nice to have

Master’s degree; industry expertise in HUD, Rural Development and LIHTC; knowledge of audit software Caseware
