AV Service Engineer

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance visits and provide clear service reports; Diagnose and resolve AV, network, and control system issues during service callouts; Support small system upgrades and remedial works post-installation; Work both independently and alongside other engineers to deliver high-quality results; Liaise directly with clients, ensuring they receive professional and responsive support; Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or managers when required; Maintain accurate job notes, records, and documentation; Ensure all service and maintenance work is completed to the highest standards, particularly in luxury residential environments

Requirements

Strong background in Audio Visual systems; Crestron, Savant, Control4, or KNX; Multiroom AV distribution, cinema systems, and surround sound; Lighting and shading systems (Lutron/Crestron); CCTV, video entry, and access control systems; Networking knowledge (VLANs); Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills; Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; Experience with AV cabling and terminations; Strong communication and customer service skills; Comfortable working independently and as part of a team; IT literate and keen to learn new systems and technologies

Lutron programming experience; Domotz experience; Electrical knowledge
