Baxterstorey is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team in Oxford, United Kingdom. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, using high-quality beans and proper techniques; Operate and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards; Take customer orders, handle transactions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations about our coffee offerings; Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean, organised work area; Stay updated on coffee trends and Baxterstorey's product range to enhance the customer experience

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a busy café or coffee shop environment; Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to consistently produce high-quality beverages; Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment; Strong latte art skills; Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures; Food safety certification (desirable); In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods; Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour; Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
