Barista (Part Time)

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our team in Uttoxeter, United Kingdom on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be the face of our café, crafting quality beverages and creating memorable experiences for our customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment where efficiency, customer focus, and teamwork are essential to our success.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, espresso-based beverages, and other café offerings with precision and consistency; Operate espresso machines and other café equipment safely and effectively; Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, attentive service; Maintain a clean and organized work station, including equipment maintenance and sanitation; Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system; Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak and off-peak hours; Stock and rotate inventory items as needed; Respond to customer inquiries and special requests with a helpful and empathetic approach; Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times; Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and support

Requirements

Proven experience as a barista or in a customer service role within a café or hospitality setting (preferred); Strong knowledge of coffee types, origins, and brewing methods; Proficiency in operating espresso machines and café equipment; Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; Cash handling experience and familiarity with point-of-sale systems (preferred); Food safety awareness and understanding of hygiene standards; Strong time management and organizational skills; Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend availability; Latte art skills or willingness to develop them (preferred); Clear communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
