BI Business Analyst I

As a BI Business Analyst, you will play a key role in empowering colleagues with business intelligence and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. This is an opportunity to develop valuable skills within BI and finance, collaborate across teams, and contribute to impactful projects within life sciences, renewable energy, and fundamental research. Within the BI team, you will cover both frontend development in Power BI and backend development in dbt/Snowflake, working in close partnership with colleagues in IT.

Responsibilities

Act as the go-to person for BI support of new insights and issue resolution; Transform raw data into meaningful insights using Power BI and Snowflake; Gather and prioritize requirements from finance and stakeholders; Develop and maintain dashboards with intuitive visualizations; Improve and modernize Power BI solutions; Automate manual finance processes; Ensure data models support business needs; Collaborate closely with IT and business teams; Manage tickets and resolve data issues; Stay up to date with Power BI and data storytelling best practices

Requirements

Strong experience with Power BI and Snowflake; Strong ability to define and implement KPIs that measure and drive performance across key business drivers; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to translate data into insights; Experience with financial datasets; Strong communication skills in English; Proactive and hands-on team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, balancing business understanding with strong technical execution
