Boilermaker/Welder

Want to work on an iconic local project? Clough is in alliance with the Water Corporation and Jacobs, to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for the upgrade of the Woodman Point Sludge Treatment Facilities. The scope of the project includes upgrading the facility's sludge treatment processing system. This will enable the recovery of biosolids for agricultural use. The solid material, known as biosolids, will be used as a soil conditioner. Another by-product of the sludge treatment process is biogas, which can be used as a source of energy. Clough currently has opportunities on our Woodman Point Project for Boilermaker/Welders to commence immediately.

Responsibilities

Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to understand job tasks; Demonstrate the safe use of all tools and equipment associated with welding; Operate manual or semi-automated welding equipment to conduct the following weld processes: Stick Welding (SMAW); MIG Welding (GMAW); Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW); TIG Welding (GTAW); Keep documentation and records accurate and up to date; Preparation of items to be welded; Welding of risers, process piping spools and structural sections using qualified welding procedures; Select, clean and prepare metal stock for fabrication; Fit and assemble metal components by welding, brazing, soldering or bolting; Undertake problem solving / troubleshooting within scope of work as required; Execute work in accordance with applicable standards and procedures and in adherence to work instructions and drawings as defined in work packs or supervisor instructions; Execute work in line with Management System requirements; Any other duties deemed within the employee's ability or experience

Requirements

Construction White/Blue Card; Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence; Trade Cert; Ability to pass a 6G weld test to AS/NZS 4041; Ability to pass a 3G/4G plate test to AS 2980; Apply First Aid
